Neurodecks ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered flashcard application.

Apple Intelligence: Processes data entirely on your device. No data is sent to external servers.
Claude (Anthropic): When you use Claude to generate flashcards, your topic prompts are sent to Anthropic's API servers. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data. Visit anthropic.com/privacy for details.
ChatGPT (OpenAI): When you use ChatGPT to generate flashcards, your topic prompts are sent to OpenAI's API servers. OpenAI's privacy policy governs how they handle this data. Visit openai.com/privacy for details.
You choose which AI provider to use. No data is sent to any AI service unless you explicitly initiate a generation request.
The free version of the App displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device information in accordance with Google's privacy policy. Visit policies.google.com/privacy for details.
Premium subscribers do not see ads, and no ad-related data is collected for those users.
You may be asked to allow app tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You can decline without affecting core app functionality.
The App uses Apple's Speech Recognition framework for voice-to-text dictation when creating flashcards. Audio is processed by Apple's speech recognition services. The App does not store or transmit audio recordings. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for details on how speech data is handled.
All flashcard data, study progress, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
API keys for third-party services are stored in the iOS Keychain, which provides hardware-backed encryption. Keys are marked as non-transferable and excluded from device backups.
The App does not use cloud storage, remote databases, or any server-side infrastructure. Your data remains on your device.
Your data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed. You can delete individual decks, flashcards, or study sessions at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App will permanently remove all associated data from your device.
The App is designed for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally and no accounts are required, the App is suitable for use by minors under parental guidance.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the App and on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
